Digital TV question

Hello,

This is my first post to the forum and hope I am not opening a topic that has been discussed several times.
I recently purchased a FFRR MY07 VIN ........8A267320, reading through the posts in the forum I acknowledged that the cars should be equipped with the hybrid tv tuner.

Unfortunately when using the auto tune function I cannot come across any DVB-T channels, and those are available in my area. I am starting to wonder if this may be associated with the software of my Range lacking an update unlocking digital options?
In the commands of the TV menu I cannot find any functions related to the digital TV.

Will high;y appreciate support in solving this issue.

Cheers
Konrad

Have you looked at your tuner? It should say hybrid on it.. Worth checking.. Previously..

The tuner will only pick up Mpeg-2 digital transmissions.

If you, like us, have Mpeg-4, then......

Oh... and no point in buying a new car as even a 2012my, or a Evoque will not pick up anything. Still Mpeg-2

Thank you, this seems to solve the riddle. Poland is broadcasting DVB-T in Mpeg-4 so this is the reason why I'm not picking up any signal. Still wonder if LR will offer any digital tuners with mpeg-4 functionality.

Once more thanks for help.

I don't think LR will ever launch anything.

As my car is now at the dealer I took the chance to ask about it.
He said that LR gave him an initial intermediate option and a future (still non-existant) option.

The intermediate is an aftermarket tuner. Don't know if it'll integrate with the system....

So, if I want to watch tv in the car I must go to spain....

And to everyone here, start talking to your dealer about this, as sooner than you think, all your tv's will go, puf....because all of europe will go to mpeg-4

It doesn't seem impossible to have such a solution workable, e.g. in the old tv equipment there is a converter from mpeg-4 to mpeg-2 http://www.neotion.com/products/cam.php.
Let's see if smart people at Land Rovercome up with any solutions .
It seems that all of Europe is to switch to mpeg-4 in not too distant future.
