I paid about 50 USD for the complete second hand key (for the internals) and 12 GBP for the new empty housing. Switched the blade from the donor key to the flip key, same as the transponder. Used the flip key for a while to charge the battery, checked the battery voltage so now it is trying trying trying to get the door lock part working !

Im not sure bout these things but different countries have different frequency remotes, so the remote u have might not work with ur transponder module in ur car..?? |

I ordered a used BMW key for the inner transponder, has to be 433Mhz. I got a black flip key from the bay with the new blade (same style as the Range Rover blade (there are two versions).

If u buy from the place I got mine all u have to do is transfer over the little black chip from ur old key , get key cut, reprogram..Pity they don't have any in stock..It fits in perfect too, some people worried the key cant get in far enough cause of remote shape but it's grand.. |

Lolo, so the electrics you got were for the flip key? You did not have to move a diamond key inner workings across? That makes things nice and simple, and you get to use all 3 buttons! How much was the unit, the site is out of stock so does not say. Tom

Yes they sent the unit with the circuit board or whatever u call it in it.. I didn't have to get diamond key. Just their key, altho there are 3 buttons on the flip, haven't tried the 3rd key to see what it does.. My car is 05 reg 06 model.. I am going to go back to the guys who laughed at me and gloat.. |
