My BMW is in the shop at the moment, has an issue with its boost controller. Being under warrentee was given a hire car this morning. (The wife being pregnant cant get behind the wheel in the bimmer so takes the FFRR every moning )

Picked up a Vauxhall insignia SRI.

What a hateful POS. Makes you really appreciate a decent motor. How can something so slow and sluggish (my TDV6 would give it a serious run for the money) stuffer from torque steer?

Well, SWMBO looked at one, a new Insignia Elite with all the toys, diesel auto. The intention was to replace her Jaguar XF with something cheaper to buy and cheaper to run.

Anyway, after a 20 minute test drive she formed the same opinion but she vented that opinion quite loudly to the salesman. Now I'm all for honesty but I was trying to crawl into the glovebox. It was her cry of "29 grand? for that? You're deluded man." which did it.

But yeah, hateful POS is about right. Nastier than syphilis.

Interior/Practicality
