I hate being the newbie member and instantly start a help thread but maybe you might recognise this noise. This evening I hear this clicking noise from the front of the engine and go in to panic mode. After reading so many horrors about gearboxes on here I start to sweat. This noise is pronounced when putting in to drive. I checked there is oil, can't see anything untoward and drives okay. It sounds like its coming right from the front of the car (fan area) and I'm starting to worry what it might be I have a 2003, lpg 4.4 vogue :

Sounds like a loose cable bouncing off the fan, possibly the cable to the air temp on the grill?

Mine has snapped like yours. It's currently fixed witha cable tie. Its been like that since I got it. Only way to fix is to buy a new fan cowal. An not wasting money on that when there are more pressing issues. Lol [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
