2011 Range Rover HSE TDV8 Santorini Black

Radio antenna signal

I had to cut the antenna lead in the boot to connect a fm modulator to it, but now the radio barely gets a signal at all.. Where is the actual antenna? At the front ? Is it possible to get a signal booster? Is the signal crap cause I joined the antenna wires? (connectors were different) help would be appreciated.. As much as I luv listening to my iPod I find it hard to
Accept that I can't have the basic radio working..!
