United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Just got a call from the dealers & the final bill for a water pump is £1,089.56p Twisted Evil I couldn't believe it, the original quote was £560. All the extra money was for all the parts the fu Censored monkey they let loose on it destroyed when removing the old one. This isn't a backstreet garage this was a main agent, even a competent home mechanic could have removed the water pump without all the damage. He even destroyed the pulley and the viscous fan & the top hose elbow.

The AA have offered me a 12 month warranty for £87 which covers any repair for up to £500, that should do until I can get rid of the Censored thing. Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue

I'd just chuck the bill back to the dealer and tell them tough, the LR Tech Guides don't even put the job at that price IIRC. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Autodata as used by most garages has book times for almost any job on any car, or ask another dealer how much they would charge and get the quote in writing Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
