I have a 55 plate S/C with Chassis # 6A******.

The Nokia PTI Module is XVJ500045, I have an iPhone 3GS and a Blackberry Bold 9000. Guy Salmon Leeds (now Farnell) told me that the software for phone book over bluetooth is not available for this model.

a) is that right?

b) if so; Can I buy PTI module XVJ500420 and swap it- if I do this will it need more software or will Phone book over Bluetooth work 'out of the box'?

There is a service bulletin to enable the phonebook on pre-2008 models.

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: A customer whose vehicle is fitted with the Land Rover integrated phone system may request that they be able to access their cellular telephone's phonebook over the Bluetooth feature. This new feature will enable a customer using a Land Rover-approved Bluetooth telephone to display the phone's phonebook and call history on the vehicle display. The phonebook contacts can also be dialed using the vehicle interface.
NOTE: This procedure is at the request and expense of the customer. It is not to be processed as a Warranty claim.
Action: Should a customer request this feature be added, follow the Installation Procedure outlined below to reconfigure the Cellular Telephone Control Module.

Hi VMPP, Thanks a lot for that, I had seen that the S/W should be upgradeable but as I said I took it to Guy Salmon in Leeds and they told me that it's already on the latest release and Bluetooth phonebook is not available.

I guess they are probably incompetant- I already have in mind following the recommendation from the doc to Try Guy Salmon Knutsford.
