Bluetooth Connection Blackberry Bold 9780

Hi all

Does anyone on here have a Blackberry Bold 9780 with the latest software?

I have one via my job and had to downgrade the software to get to the one listed on the LR webiste so it would connect. Any newer versions wouldn't connect at all.

2 software levels are listed on the LR site but one shows as not compatible and that's about 4 levels old so its as if the 9780 is a bit too new, even for the newest LR updated module?

I am considering a new module from wiggs but thought I'd ask if anyone has succesfully paired a 9780 and got aut connection and phone book transfer?

Thanks

Carl

Hi Andy

Does it auto connect or do you have to enter the passcode when you get in?

Mine will connect if I input the code but not automaticaaly.

I have no phonebook with the current software so can't see who I'm dialling, have to use my Bold to dial them use the car to take the call.

Hi Carlos
after I paired it originally it justs connects everytime its within range of the RR not helpfull when I am in the house sometimes!!
You can dial manually from the cars screen and it will do last number redial I have not really played with it more than that to see if its possible to upload the contacts list

but i can have a look later if there is anything you would like me to try?

It will only work if you downgrade to the earlier BB software even with Wiggs updated box.

Gaz, I've down graded to the software listed as fully compatible on the LR website so will that give full functionality?

The phone works crap after downgrading so if it didn't do auto pairing and phonebook I'd be well pi**ed off

Should work but if it does not it only takes minutes to upgrade again....
