To be fair the TDV6/SDV6 is a joint venture between PSA/Ford and PSA know a lot about making diesels run for high miles in cars and have a long history in it compared to their german neighbours...

Also dont forget if its towing or in near constant use the engine will always get warmed through and will endure many less heat cycles and if towing will sooner reach that heat cycle and likely have a gentler life due to different driving style when towing... I know another forum member who has a ffrr on 147000 and by the pictures of it looks really clean and tidy too! If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

98k had new sat nav ( damp/condensation?), gearbox i think,(pre loved) track rod (inner and outer) faults with drivers seat auto setting, parking sensors and a selection of bings and bongs currently got a suspension fault with front nearside ride height sensor.

We have a love hate relationship I love it, it hates me Mine was a blue one! Smile
