He does 6-8k a month! All motorway miles and we service it around 12 - 14k intervals... Gearbox gets fluid changed every 50k

My there some high milages here! Im sure there some out there with starship entreprise milage though, I knew someone on the toyota lc forum who had over 400000 miles on his 80 series, mind you the BEBs had to be done, sorry big end bearings.

Its nice to see high milers used and not pushed to one side to rot, theres no reason for any motor to keep racking up the milage. Good quality oils and correct service helps but Im a little guilty in not sticking to the schedule Rolling Eyes
And the low milage one need servicing more often too!

Was worried in looking at high milage ffrrs ( its that green oval, gives me lots of head achs ) but think if serviced at correct intervals should be fine. Wink If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

How much is the fluid and filter change then??

Service interval is what im aiming for in mine to be honest maybe more like 10 but 6-8k miles a month!!

Is it the same guy who runs the car transport company on the D3/4 forum who clocks up silly miles??? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Dunno, Might break for near that Very Happy

Still, £7k even if you got a year out of it and then had to replace both the engine and box (£2k) and then some suspension parts(£1.5k for all corners) thats £10.5k for a FFRR Smile Only a few petrols below that price really but still if its rough inside and body wise that will soon see that price rise... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

When we discuss these lengths, we are all using the same standard of measurement, right? As in a "UK mile" is that of a "US mile" which should be;

mile (mi) = 8 furlongs = 5,280 feet = 1,609.344 metres

Forgive my ignorance. Whistle Cheers,

Aaron

mine now seems only just run in 53 plate with 93k. I've just bought a defender 90 with 165k on it, some poor sod must be deaf and have alot of back pain to do all those miles.
