New battery - then no blower ?

Fitted a new battery yesterday, went out this morning, started fine Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Then turned on de-mister to clear ice.. and no blower Big Cry Could the new battery kill the FSR ? searching seems to show this is a common fault for the blower not working. Where do I find this 'FSR', and is it a fairly straight forward job to swap?

Thanks..

I can't think why putting a new battery in should kill the FSR other than possibly blowing a fuse for some reason but this shows where it is and how to replace it.

Thanks for that ^^^ Thumbs Up

According to the book, the front screen works on the same fuse, and that's working OK, so I'm guessing the fuse is OK - but I'll go out now and double check..

Stan, thanks for the link.. from that site

' Secondly, when the FSR fails, the blower motors have the potential to activate even when the key is in the Off position. When this occurs, no one may be in the car at the time. A long term symptom of this, is that the main vehicle battery may drain very over 3-6 days of sitting in a garage.'

Maybe I needn't have bought a new battery. Big Cry

For the past few weeks, I've heard this noise (blower?) after I've got out of the car.

Do you think I should disconnect the battery when I'm not using it - can any damage be done to anything else (apart from flattening the battery) Until new FSR arrives..? Could it overheat ?

Hi mate
How did you get on with your battery drain issue? I bought a Lidl intelligent charger and will trickle charge until my drain issue is located
