I bought a damaged one of eBay and refurbished it myself, new screen, LCD, case and interior buttons etc. I had to have some work done to a circuit board which added an unexpected £20 to the project, but now I have a 16gb 3GS which is as good as new for my old man, total cost was £90

Thanks for all the offers, but I think it he's only got £200 ish, so it will really need to be a 3gs. It also needs to be a 32gb, as he has a 16gb 'touch' at the moment, but he's managed to fill it

If the chap can wait a few weeks, my Mum is due an upgrade so she will have an iPhone 4 32GB going spare. It wouldn't cost the earth, PM me for details
