a) I haven't seen a red flashing alarm light by the rear view mirror (although the light may have changed position with model year)
b) The standard advice is to get the battery checked - the RR uses a lot of current and batteries rarely last 5 years
c) You haven't got a non factory fit immobiliser/ alarm have you (may relate to point a above) - this may be isolating the starter motor ?
d) When you get to the point of all the dashboard lights coming on - do all the lights go out when you turn the ignition key to position 2 or do they just dim ?

Cheers VV
b) Will any garage do the battery check? Or do i need to see an auto-electrician? What test do i ask for?

c) no extra alarm or immobiliser fitted

d) Tried again today to answer your question but all was completely dead, not even any lights or remote locking working Sad so cant answer im afraid. Im sure when i tried it few days ago though, all dash lights lit up, turned key nothing, all lights remained on and full brightness, just nothing in way of turning over, didnt even attempt to try turning over

Hope this helps a bit
cheers again

I have had the very same issue, sometimes the car would be ok for a few months then a few weeks then a few days etc. Got the FSR changed over and calm has been restored (until the fuel pump went this week and then currently in having the brake pipes done, joy!) I doubt the FSR would be a warranty claim unless the car is newish, I would get this done before replacing the battery.

Without taking the part out, maybe contact Dan @ Duckworths if the repair was done by Landrover dealer network. Alternatively, removal of the part is the only way!
