I left the battery disconnected on a Rangie once for a week - and I'll never make that mistake again!!

Every possible fault you can think of comes up. You're right when you say they have a mind of their own, and just like you & I don't like having no food and oxygen, RRs don't like having no volts & amps!

Would a solar charger work well in a garage - get a CTEK battery conditioner or the Lidl £12.99 job if you can not stretch. - Can happily leave the Rangie for years then...it will only be your tyres that are knackered! Consider putting her up on blocks so the tyres have less weight but for a couple of months she should be fine just with a conditioner - I would not leave her disconnected.

Disable the internal ultrasonic sensors and maybe invest in another battery to leave in the boot and use that to jump off when you get back but as abI've 2 solar trickle chargers plugged in to the point in the boot that's always live should help keep it going as long as it gets some light and isn't an underground car park.

Talk to a friend and he will come here every week to put the car running, can´t get eletricity for the trickle charger, if he comes every week I think I wont have any problems, what do you think? The battery was bought on June 2011 bran new from RR dealer.

Brand new battery could be OK if you fancied taking a risk. If you trust your friend, I would ask them to take the car for a run as every start cycle will take its toll on the car. I have heard that all the airport car park related battery drain relates to the car systems going to sleep and then every time someone walks past waving their car remote about, your car wakes a little to see if the signal is for them. Being an airport this goes on 24 hours a day until you return so the poor car gets little rest. - In that case perhaps solar charger (perhaps with long extention to reach outside) would do the trick - no need to bother friend and healthy battery on return. If using the CTEK or Lidl charger be aware the Lidl one does not start charging again if the mains is removed and then re-connected as in a power cut.
