I'm off my head but I thought of this....whats your views??

So if I got my inside the way I like it with ipod and RSE, and the outside with Overfinch Aero 3 and new Overfinch 22" sorted.....would anyone object to.........repainting my car in a matt black???

Anyone seen anything wrapped etc in Matt black? I mean it needs a touch of paint anyway in the bumpers and spoilers, so would a full respray in Matt Black look mean or is it too much?

discuss............. all smug in my new plug!

Matt black would be an absolute Censored to keep clean.

And, personally, I think it would look terrible.

That said, a full body wrap may be a good option as it's more reversible should you get fed up with it.

I notice that many premium makers are offering these satin sheens. Saw one on a new E63 at MB World a little while back. Looks OK, but they're (apparently) a right PITA to clean and keep looking good.

But at the end of the day, old boy, it's your RR. Do what you like. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Seen a few cars around here in Matt, including a RR sport and a newish 911 turbo, which looks quite agressive.

Sometimes see an Overfinch RR to (not matt though), I do like the look of that, always makes me turn my head! Thumbs Up

Like what has been said, At the end of the day, its your car, and its what you like and want. Reformed

Have seen a couple of FF's done in Matt Black and they are hellish looking , and if your gonna do it you would be best going for a wrap as you can take it back off when you go to sell it on as not everyone will buy a painted black Matt one ....

There's a company out in Cumbernauld that do wraps for FF's for £3k ....

As said before your car , your dosh , at least your will be different if you do it .....

But you know yourself the first thoughts of people will be " drug dealer " ... "pimp" .... "Bawbag" .... Laughing Laughing Wink Wink

We have quite some matt black SUVs here (mostly Landcruisers) and to me it still looks "cheap". In my younger years, the way to "repaint" your cheap car as a student or other financially challenged individual, using matt black point was the cheapest way of making the car look one single color.

I would have to see yours with all the other enhancements before I give my opinion. Do you know anyone that is handy with Photoshop, take a pick of your car and then change the bodywork color to matt black ??? That way you get a much better idea of what it looks like !! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

All good comments, and yeah at the end of the day, it's probaly only if I was going to get the kit paintd that I would do it.

I think I'd rather have it painted than wrapped, as I think a few pics, especially that TDV8 show it's stance....I like it, but I can see what Mick and others could see it as, and I get enough of that bull as it is....or is that just the small minded people that we encounter daily...either way, I'm into that I think....

Would I get tired of it....possibly.......<sways>.....mayb it's a better idea with a newer car as I'm now thinking that paiunted and a Aero 3 kit and wheels would be over 8k and with a few grand more at 22k I couldget a decent regular TDV8.

I just like my 80k on the cloc car, it's petrol, handles well enough and does what I need it to do, but I'd like a freshen up exterior and my neighbour footballer has the Aero 3 and supersports and it looks the Censored .....the other footballer has a white RR, and khan wheels and it's mince compared to the black one.....mind you they play for rangers so maybe this week if they go bust they'll be up for sale?? lol

cheers on the comments anyway fells, nice bit of healthy chat is good for the day!! all smug in my new plug!

My next door neighbour has a white full Kahn RRS and I've never liked it!

He confided me one day that he really wanted an FFRR, but his wife "convinced" him that an RRS was nicer looking! He now wishes he hadn't listened to her! Whistle Rolling with laughter

In saying that, I've seen a few nice black RRS's. Black just seems to look nicer on an RRS.......... Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

What did you think to the Matt black Overfinch on auto trader? A little over priced but gives a very good idea of what yours would look like Stand for something or fall for everything !
