Multiplayer cd sometimes showing "no disc"

Hi,
I have an issue with my multiplayer cd (2002 4.4 vogue) some of my discs show as "no disc" and others skip, taking them out and reloading sometimes helps but then some discs skip and the cd goes off, sounds like my laser head needs a clean or a replacement CD changer,

1, is there any way of cleaning the laser head
2, how on earth do I get the cd player out of the glove box, I have loooked at the Rave data to no avail.

any assistance apreciated Question

Hey,

I had a similarish issue - although it was on an 56/07 model. It would not say anything on the system just give me a dash. I basically left it overnight and it was fine - could of been a bug in the software? Sorry if its not much help.

You may need a new magazine, but why not just put an iPod kit in?
I also have a PDF Land Rover manual for removing the CD changer from the glovebox.
PM me your email address if you require it.
Or do a search for "Intavee and iPod" and you will see a post from me regarding removal of the CD changer in a 2002 FFRR.

HTH,

Ram

I know the problem only too well!

Help is at hand though...

Eject the CD magazine and then push this back in fully - and keep pushing it back in until you can hear all the CD's have been read by the changer.
