Funnily enough, the best deal I got was part exing my old one. I got the dealer as low as I could and then said I wanted to phone a few mates who'd expressed an interest in my car. He offered me more than I thought I'd get. Job jobbed.

James, very good comments and good to see you providing this type of information. Great attitude!! Thumbs Up

I sometimes think I'd rather pay that little bit more for ease of trade-in, at a decent price of course, and get the "quality service" I expetced when spending north of 30k...and in some of my cases it was north of 100k...before I got divorced that is.....anyway I digress. I think we should "love" the experience and be very happy we got the deal we wanted with the right sales person so if it doesn't feel right and you don't have a rapport that makes you think "yeah I could be a customer of here and be looked after when things go wrong...as they will" with the sales guy and he knows hee-haw about what he is selling then talk with your feet and try somewhere else. all smug in my new plug!
