Oh right so did it come apart in a way which would allow you to resolder new thicker wire to the terminals?? |

The aperture the blade and wire go thru is pretty small and there is a yellow rubberised material at the end of the blade as a 'bung' that the wire passes thru.

Fair enough. You did exactly what I did ie spliced in a new wire up to a few inches from the connector which is why I thought maybe you could rewire the connector itself.

It depends what end of the car you rate on about. I believe only the rear sensors are on a separate loom as the fronts for part of the main engine bay loom and cannot be detached from the car without removing the entire thing. Its the rear that gives me all the problems which does have a connector but cant for the life of me remember what it looks like
