I always felt that the 2006 non S/C was the best looking but of late am liking the original '02 look more and more. I would have ticked the option list for the 2006 look on my 2012 if there had been one. But I want that 4.4 TDV8 and the 30+ economy I get on a run. There must be some lots of earlier 'kits' out there discarded by those who have upgraded. Perhaps I could start a retro trend?

Mine had the tail lights, side grilles, side repeaters and rims already upgraded when I got it - it looks good, but it still has the original front grill/lights/bumper. The front grille looks a little dated compared to then newer ones, and as it has had work done already, I will at some stage put a different grille in it - but not upgrade the lights or bumper. I know that's a half arsed way of doing it, but I think that's all it needs.

When you can get a set of four brand new genuine wheels with tyres for £500 why bother with a fitter, the second set were £600 for five brand new genuine wheels with tyres.

And I sold both old sets on.

I kept my '03 pretty must standard, even the orange side repeaters, only thing I did was swap the tail lights for red/clear as my originals were misting up and they were the same cost as the red/clear, I did prefer the orange/red tails though. 2006 Mercedes CLS

I'm in, but most people want to look as flash as possible, hence the desperation to "update".

Mine is bog standard, except for new 19 inch wheels. I think the original design was perfect. The only reason for facelifts over the years is to sell newer models as many people want to be seen to have a new car.

Various facelifts over the years have changed the original "pure" look to the stage where the look of the latest cars is tacky in my mind. They are designed to appeal to the "new money" markets in Russia and China etc. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

I feel this thread was started because I mentioned I'm doing a conversion so I'd just like to say I'm not doing it to look flash or to make my car more valuable I'm merely doing it because I prefer the look and that's it so all those that don't like it I got to say I really couldn't give a ....

If you like the look of yours good for you and If we wanna ask on a forum for advise on range rover related upgrades then good for us.

I don't think (at least I hope not) that the thread was started to be defamatory to anyone. The fact is that cars are very personal things and over the years many people have spent time and money to make their car more individual or attractive or faster etc. etc.

Obviously people have opinions on the look and appearance of he FF from conception to today. Some people love the changes some hate them, many are indifferent. I certainly hope that you are not bothered by people's thoughts on what you may or may not choose to do to your own pride and joy. I certainly greatly enjoy your regular updates on the various changes to your car, they are interesting and informative.

Do what you want as its your car, then tell us your story with pics etc. I will find it interesting reading, even though I personally like my car as it is, I still appreciate the efforts other people take to improve their own enjoyment.

Thumbs Up No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

The thread was started because it seemed to me like everyone was wanting to update their FFRR. It was not started because you mentioned you were doing a conversion. Thumbs Up
