Might be a loose plug. When I fitted in my freeview reciever, I had a few issues like no sound, blank screen etc. I went through the compartment and undid every plug and plugged them back in.

Just because it's dry at the moment doesn't mean it has been for the last 7 years.

I would recommend a special oxide remover such as Wurth Contact OL

Should be 4 boxes in the rear compartment as below, you appear to have the tv tuner missing or the radio tuner missing. Lets know which.

You really need to remove the black plastic panel below the carpeted floor panel.

Right....................I accessed the radio tuner box and took it out. It appears dry and the connector had no sign of corrosion. I then shorted the two battery connectors together (again) just in case this brought the dsp back to life.
