If I plug my netbook charger into the car, it disrupts the radio signal like the radio is struggling to find or stay tuned to a station, like the diversity function has stopped working. Not related to engine speed so don't think it is a ground loop problem. When unplugged the radio is clear as a bell and diversity works well. Get the interference even when parked up. The charger has a graphite core on it all ready, but I tried adding another - to no avail. Doesn't matter which socket I use either or whether I use a permanent or ignition live.

What happens if you ground directly from the charger into a ground point in the boot? |

I get the hiss and interference from all power sockets and from the ignition live I have in the boot. I find myself an inverter and try that out as a last resort. All other sound sources are just fine, it only affects the radio, which I might be able to overcome using my dvb-t stick for radio reception, or I can introduce a switch to turn off the supply when the carpc is not needed. .
