Heated screen only half working

This evening the front screen misted up so I put on the heater (never used it before) and the drivers side cleared pretty quickly but the passenger side didn't, except for a very few clear lines (maybe 5%). Seems odd to me! Any thoughts before I get it checked under warranty (hopefully)? Cheers.

I think the elements or 'lines' within the screen break and stop heating up. At least the drivers side still work at the moment Thumbs Up

Good look with getting warranty company to pay for another screen...

Find a stone chip, call your ins co. Say the chip is stopping the heated screen from working. They will replace the screen for the £50-£70... The lady I spoke to said they always recommend replacement screens on heated screen vehicles rather than resin injection.

Apparently there are 2 fuses but just a few strands on the left are working plus all the right side so it's not that. Booked it into my local dealer before Christmas and they tell me it needs replacing but it's not covered under warranty. Cost is nearly £700 so I phoned the supplying dealer who very helpfully suggested I call LR warranty, who advise me it is covered. How does that happen! Anyway, the news is more positive.

In case it helps anyone else - although glass is excluded from the LR extended/used warranty it is an electrical fault with the windscreen itself and therefore covered. My local independant dealer has now been authorised to replace tomorrow I understand Smile even though my local main agent told me is wasn't covered by warranty Mad

I used mine the other day for the first time, and sod's law says it's the drivers half the doesn't clear, so can anyone point me towards which fuses the screen uses? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Handbook indicates only one fuse No. 47 (30amp) up front. Sad

All the wiring / control gear is tucked up under the dash on the passenger side (RHD) IIRC when my screen was changed. .

Hi

Ive just had the same thing happen but it was my drivers side not working completely,

There are two electrical connections to the window both lower corners, and one supply to the relay 30 amp

I rang insurance and told them i had a stone chip and the window was making a cracking noise when i drive,

They were there the next afternoon and installed a complete new window Thumbs Up

£70 lighter and it doesn't affect my insurance Very Happy RANGE ROVER 04 TD6
