United States 2012 Range Rover HSE 5.0 V8 Orkney Grey
Front main blower GAP code B12FE-13 (28) Fan

2012 RR full fat HSE 5.0 V8 Non SC

So before I start blowing money on resistors and fans and even relays, has anyone seen and fixed this error. Just driven back from Florida with no cold air. All dash lights work, Car had sat at cruise terminal for a week and when we jumped back in no front blower. Fuse F62 all OK. No drain on battery after a week. Seemed to get some very low intermittent air, occassionally

First thoughts after fuses was the resistor, any thoughts? Others have changed this and still have the problem.

I am not sure which the relay is, or if there is one for the front!!! anybody let me know?

Any ideas on P010B-00 (ECool, Occasionally shows up

Any help at all appreciated

Circuit open indicates a break in the circuit, which could be anywhere. Usually brushes give good warning, and on the L322, the fan bearings will have gone before the brushes do, so you'd most likely have had audible symptoms if it were the cabin fan.

Setting the fan on maximum (also try demist button and Max AC), does the fan run? (If so, this would indicate a resistor issue).

I'm not sure there is a fan relay - I think it's controlled via the resistor.

Alternatively, the battery may just have gone a bit flat, especially if aircraft overhead set the alarm off. A charge up and maybe disconnect and reconnect may be worth a try. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks Gary,

not the battery as drove 650 miles and still the same. No screeching, smell etc like when a motor starts to go out.

Felt like it tried to come on at a very slow speed at times but not enough to cool. Will try the resistor as I have already ordered it. There is no sign of a relay, except for the back which is fine and blowing cold.

Will let you know how I get on.

So replaced the resistor today and still no fan. Again all lights on dash lit and change as dial turned. Resistor getting hot, both the old one and new. Unless I get another suggestion, next to change is the fan. Any other thoughts appreciated

Will I have any issues testing the new fan once installed with the airbags on the dash disconnected, ie. before full reassembly? My thoughts are no as long as I disconnect battery before reassembly. Anyone else's thoughts?

It might trigger an airbag fault code and warning on the dash, but as you have an IID tool, you can easily clear that. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

So opened up the cabin filter air box today and was expecting to find access to fan to apply WD40. What I found was 2 vents obscured by “?flaps” that did not open when adjusting air inside with engine running or use of recycle switch. I now have a fan to fit. So far all fuses checked, resistor changed. Power to fuse 21 at rear. A/c is working as get cold air through when car moving. Pics enclosed of area with air box removed
