Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Fuji White

Hi,

I agree, it's quite the task to do it all. I've just received the used D pillar trim I ordered, plan is to do this one piece to as good a standard as I can myself and see how long it takes and how much paint etc. as to get super gloss finish will need multiple coats, patience and skill, not something I have in abundance.

Once I've done that I'll weigh up whether I want to do the rest or not, clips I have loads of but my biggest fear is cracking the trim getting it off.

Then there's the door mirror elements, wiper blades, door surrounds, door trims, B & C Pillars, as you say. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Fuji White

I've abandoned the idea, just sat in front of the car yesterday @ Pimms o'clock admiring what a damn fine car washer I am I added it all up in my head, (not much space in there) the things I'd need to do to "gloss" the window area.

After looking into it in more detail and another Pimms have abandoned the idea, it wouldn't take a lot of cost, but it would be really labourious and hard to get a nice gloss finish around the mirror assemblies, the shape is complex and every time I looked I found another bit that would have to be done.

I just went over all the black with "Back to Black" and it came up like it should, like satin gleam so now I good.

Many thanks for all the tips though and I have a NSR pillar trim spare if anyone needs it. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I’m kind of in the same place Andy.

I cheated and bought gloss black door handle and mirror covers from Powerful UK. They look great.

The A and D pillars and bonnet scuttle panel (if that’s what it’s called) are possibles at the moment but I’d give the car to the bodyshop to do the spraying. I think I can live with the other bits of window trim in matt though I won’t know for sure until I do the pillars.

Decisions decisions…. Des
