109w v 109y on an L322 3.6TDV8

I have some nearly new 255 50 20 109w Pirelli verde all season tyres to put on my l322.

But… the manual says the spec needs to be 109y which are rated at 186mph rather that 109w rated for 168…

Can this really make the slightest difference?

For reference the car rarely if ever goes above 70…

It’s normally only if you go to a non standard rim size that things become an issue. Even changing tyre widths and profiles on a standard size rim doesn’t normally bother the insurance companies.
