I think JLR should be investing money in developing a very robust door lock that mechanically controls the central locking from the drivers door.

How many owners would be put off buying because they had to carry a key ?

Perhaps we could do some market research for JLR by running a poll ?

Perhaps JLR should start by convincing their own insurers first? As ever facts can be taken several ways …number stolen as a % of cars on road, % by value, outright number of vehicles stolen v rest.
Everyone will use the statistics that support their argument.
In the meantime RR owners need to try and minimise ise claim history by taking other anti theft precautions thus reducing claim history by all categories. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Strange that we have a national theft problem but instead of criticising the police, criminal justice system or the government, we have a go at industry. Does that mean house builders are now to blame for every burglary that happens?

Exactly. Is it Rolex’s fault people nick their watches?

If housebuilders put in windows and doors that were easy to open from the outside then yes. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
