255/60/20 is one of the OEM sizes on the L460. Mine doesn't seem to rub but have only used on the road for a short amount of time so far. https://www.wheel-size.com/size/land-rover...egion-eudm |

Any reason to have gone for the 8” wheels rather than the 8.5? |

Both of the Range Rover 20" wheel options on the Land Rover website are 8"x 20". Which 8.5" wheels are you referring to?

This style comes in 8J (LR153233) and 8.5J (LR153235), 275/55R20 is the 8.5 size:

Oh I see, they come in different widths, I didn't know that. I wanted the style 5134 not the 7020 anyway, don't know if they come in different sizes too.

Hi - interested to hear your views on the duratrac's from an on road point of view? I'm considering doing similar- I have to visit some fairly remote sites a few times a year; not proper off road but some fairly challenging unmade roads and farm tracks. OK in summer - less so in winter.... the thing is I don't want to ruin the ride / noise for thr other 95% of the time!! |

Undoubtedly they are a bit louder than normal road tyres or AT tyres, if you can live with it or not is a question that only you can answer after hearing for yourself I'm afraid. They are nothing like the noise from full mud tyres though for example.

why has land rover done two sizes of the same 20" alloy? our current range rover l405 has 20" x 8.5". with 255/55r20. we are about to order a new L460. do we go for the 20 x 8" alloys with 255/60r20 or the 20 x 8.5" with 275/55r20? will be fitting General Grabber AT3's which come in both sizes. so what is the pros and the cons of each alloy size? i cant imagine it makes that much difference, so unsure why land rover did this. admittedly the nicer design (like Westminster's above) of the two 20" alloys available only comes in 8". 2017 L405 Range Rover TDV6 Corris Grey 1988 3.5 Range Rover Classic 1993 4.2 Range Rover Classic LSE |
