3. On start up today the screen was flickering - solved by switch off and on again

Was it as if the refresh rate was wrong? I had it yesterday. I had left the sunroof open with the sun beating down on the screen I was thinking it have sent the ambient light sensor crazy. Parked up at the shops came back 20 mins later all was well.

I’ll keep an eye on it.

One more for my list, not so much a fault but still irritating I noticed all my subscriptions were registered 4 weeks before vehicle registration so I’m only getting 11months tracker etc.

It was on start up so screen was cold. Only done it once so far

I have my first snag to sort.
Yesterday I had 3 separate calls from alarm activation. The dog was in the car and it was locked with only one press of the button. 3 different locations, 3 times the alarm triggered 3 times they phoned me and said it should not happen. letters not necessarily in the right order

Anyone find that the air vents whistle? And that the big vent on the dash blows too much cold air when the climate is on auto?

I can’t find a fan control anywhere to reduce the air flow. Welcome suggestions as to how to do this.

Otherwise really enjoying it. MY23 D350 HSE

We found the fan controls yesterday, click on the air flow direction button near the temp knob then when the screen comes up click the vents option at the bottom of the screen you can then raise and lower the air flow from individual vents.

It works but is a ball ache over the traditional roller controls on each vent!

We do get some strange wind noises coming from the vents, very noticeable as the cabins so quiet. And a faint buzz on occasion coming from what feels like the door or b pillar area. MY23 PHEV HSE

I’ve tried using the vent controls but what I’m seeking is the fan control, as it seems to on full whack whenever auto climate is selected, even after driving for a while when the temp has settled down.

In every other car inc. RR’s I’ve owned you could turn down the fan a notch or two if required but I’ve been unable to find a fan control. MY23 D350 HSE

So obvious. Thank you. This is what happens when they hide everything else in the screen menus. MY23 D350 HSE

Looking at the manual there are two fan settings for auto and manual:

‘Pull control ring to access fan speed control. Pull once for 'Auto' fan speed. Pull twice for manual fan speed adjustment.’

I’ve reduced my auto fan from 3 to 2 which hopefully will reduce the through flow and whistling.

Edited to add that reducing the auto fan setting to 2 has transformed the air con to what it should have been, meaning you don’t notice it’s existence and definitely no vent whistle Smile MY23 D350 HSE

Well, day 31 into ownership of my P440e. I'm driving along the Cromwell Road this afternoon, minding my own business and become suddenly aware of something falling vertically on to the centre console with a loud and distracting clatter; I bring the car to an abrupt halt and investigate; then work out this odd-looking component part is bit of the housing on the arm of the rear view mirror which has somehow become dislodged and fallen down. Within a moment or two, the second half of the housing similarly falls down ...

The two parts don't, it seems, easily or obviously clip back together. So, once again, it's back to a JLR dealership to sort this.

This is the sixth problem on a month-old car.

Anyone else experienced dodgy housing components on the rear view mirror?
