2010- facelift from 2006- robbo770

Well I thought I would start the thread as mine are step by step once I get going,

So went from this

to 2010 SC look

So spent today freeing all topside under bonnet bolts up, and copper slipped back in place Thumbs Up

Removed the front headlight protectors and wing mountings, Censored they where, plastics re-useable once new threadolets fitted.

Headlights removed and got pics of my car current wiring at the headlights

This will allow me with the new 2012 wiring diagram to work out the wiring changes required for the pending 2012 headlight

More to follow on this with required steps need to get it all working.

Awaiting courier collection of a nice genuine SC 2010 front end, which needs painting to the cars colour.

Car will be getting all panels that need work done at the same time from same batch of paint to ensure she is gleaming once finished.

Most bolts have not been to bad up front, lower down ones look the normal for an 05 plate, and I am sure a couple will need the drill out and re-tapping as this is what I found on the D3 o B4 2014/5 conversion I did.

Have got new badges for the car front and back, and LED Rear lights to complete the transformation with a slimline roof aerial also to lose the monster brick front the roof for the GPS signal.

Ah, I have the holes from the headlight guards left from removing the guards, so as the wings would have to come off to get welded, was as well to fit new ones at the same time Thumbs Up

Got the headlights ordered today, still reeling from the cost, £1700 for a pair of bi-xenon's makes this a very pricey facelift Shocked Shocked Shocked

Paint shop bits due next wed so car strip down starts then, pictures to be posted bit by bit of course Thumbs Up Current vehicles

Looks good, did the rear lights just plug in? Or do they need some fettling?

So, it's been a good day today as my paint shop got my two bumpers and new wings painted and finished Thumbs Up

So the build up starts

First the front bumper fitted lower splash deflectors

Then both fog lights fixed with stainless retaining screws

Then the fog light finishing trims

Back bumper ready for new PDC's at the same time of the front bumper,

Fitted the washer jets, this bumper did not have the supports so I aligned them at the right position flush with the bumper and hot glue set them and them reinforced the fixing.

The rear lights need the fitting holes drilled and new retaining plugs fitted, wiring mine plugged in, I get momentary flash for each first use due to bulb check then is is fine, no fog light issues Thumbs Up going to add 22 ohm resistor for the indicators to nip it in the bud. Current vehicles
