I think they've run out of original ideas and now they're just doing really stupid things. There seems to be less and less car stuff and more of them just being self-indulgent, well Clarkson anyway! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

It's like a poor comedy show now... Predictable. I like the supercars but why do they smoke the crap out of the tyres all the time? Previously..

I like it, their were times last night I genuinely laughed out loud!!
Hamster needs to shoot his hairstylist though!! Laughing

TV would be a duller place without Topgear. Nothing comes close to the entertainment value. And as a showpiece for fast / exotic cars, it takes some beating.

I stopped watching it last year because I was bored with the same old tosh. Apparently nothing's changed then. Rolling Eyes

Yep, all a bit predictable. What it needs is to get rid of Thrush (irritating cnut) Hamster and replace him with a decent bit of skirt, preferably one who can drive. A younger version of Vicki BH on 5th gear. Actually, Vicki would be spot on.....I'd ride her til summat broke TBH. Far more interesting to listen to than Hamster and would do wonders for the equality ratings of TG.

Or better still, replace all 3 of them with 3 bits of skirt all mud wrestling, sod the cars. Laughing Laughing Laughing

It is getting more and more predictable. It is still fun to watch with the family but I think you really need to be a 12yo boy to find it really hilarious.

The car chase stuff was interesting in a way - pulling the fuse on the ABS to get the Jag's wheels to lock up, shooting it again to get the car sliding into the entrance of the caravan park. However, the whole bit about the Hamster doing stupid things, the angry director and the Clarkson adding the baddies discussing turning off the ABS - pish.

The India special over Christmas had some stuff that wound me up - the whole thing of racing the train with the take away food. Ridiculous set up and didn't work. Pulling the front off the mini with the winch - pathetic.

Each episode has four types of content, imho:
1. Interesting stuff - stuff about cars and their views on cars
2. Genuinely funny stuff - usually the less scripted banter
3. Cringeingly awful stuff that is set up and ridiculous (and telegraphed enormously)
4. Star in a Reasonably Priced Car (which may be ok if the guest is interesting but is usually some person shamelessly plugging their latest film)

In the early days, 1/2 dominated. Now it seems like 3/4 are the norm.
