Snow socks are great things but I'd reccomend taking them off as soon as your unstuck and safe to do, otherwise it's extra wear on the materials FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Chains - fair enough if the police are pulling cars over because of the depth of new snow (because otherwise you might block the road on the hairpins up to the resort etc) - but I wasn't aware that they considered snowsocks a reasonable alternative.
