Can it be done, are the mountings and connectors the same and so forth??

Just thinking as sometimes dirt cheap newer interiors come up on the bay from breakers and the like and think hmm i could give them a go at that price but then chicken out  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

It probably would fit physically , but a lot of things spring to mind why it would be far from plug and play. All the console buttons work over a different protocols, the vents are different , so would that mean a different heater, do the coolant pipes run through the bulk head differently etc etc etc V8 or else ...

Given time and money you can do anything. You'd have to change nearly everything, tho. The switchgear is different in great part so you'd have to transfer the old electronics to the new bits and what would you do with things like terrain response or the parking brake ? (you could purchase a 12v linear acutator and build your own e-brake... ). But the biggest prob would be nearly all the airbags aside from the steering wheel airbag.

We had this discussion once before: Mattstevenson asked. I'd say def not worth it unless you have no life, too much money, and are looking for a challenge. About 7-8 years ago I saw a website dedicated to reprogramming a certain type of Kodak digital camera to play Pac Man on the rear screen. Maybe that guy has finished and is looking for something new...


EDIT: you could buy a totaled 2011 with next to no damage to mechanical bits and such and rebody it with an early L322. But you'd need everything: all wiring, ecu's, motor, transmission, -everything. Still probably easier and less of a bodge than swapping just the interior, tho.

I have mine at the top just above the SRS clip, where as on the newer ones its slightly lower. I used Microcat to track down the part number and then ordered it from Dan at duckworths.

On the newer ones its held in with to little pips at the back, so I trimed them of, filed it down so there was no sharp edges, and just used double sided trim tape (thinner 3m stuff) to stick it on.

I cant remember what I paid now, it wasnt a lot, altho slightly pricey for what at the end of the day is a plastic badge, but still not expensive. I like it, and its the closest I can get to a new one for a while!  Reformed

Ok maybe pull the back a little, what about just the seats?? I guess the rears wouldn't be too hard as they are just heated elements but the fronts with the memory functions tied in with the mirrors and so forth im thinking could be hard and it would have to be a none air cooled seats as well. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Would fit but might have a problem with the seats has the airbags are in the seats on the newer Range Rover, not in the doors.

Airbags in the seats can just be ignored, ie not plumbed in then so that saves one thing i guess  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
