Voice Recognition

Just a quick question, my 2003 vogue appears to have all the wiring in place for telephone (except the phone cradle and voice recog button on the steering wheel). With the help of various posts on here I've just about collected all the parts to retro fit bluetooth. If I bought a MF button unit for the steering wheel with voice recog button on it will it work ie will this be pre wired as well? Not a big issue but as I've got ULF with this capability thought be as well to do the job right. Any thoughts?

I have the button on mine, so didn't have an issue when I put the ULF in.

It's all about whether the wiring is there on the steering wheel ring, behind the air bag.

If you do a search for steering wheel threads, I am sure there are some pictures there which may show the connector.

Obviously, to check yours, you'll have to unclip the airbag module from the steering wheel (again, look at the steering wheel threads). Prob best removing battery connections when doing this..........or your pride and joy may turn into a bouncy castle....

There is a video on the PowerfulUK site about how to change the steering wheel as well.

You'll have to see if you have all the pins and wires already there.

Can't help further I'm afraid, as thats as far as my knowledge goes.

Good Luck.
