Corpse of robber found still queueing in Co-Op bank | |
Bank News: West Yorkshire Police have confirmed the discovery of a dead body in a bank in Leeds – three days after he first entered the premises with the intention of robbing it
“We can confirm the body of 27-year-old man has been discovered in a branch of the Co-Operative bank in central Leeds,” said a Police spokesman.
“Forensic teams estimate that the man – well known to local police – has been dead for at least three days.”
The coroners office believes the cause of death was due to ‘sheer exhusation’ – while public reaction to the grisly discovery has been furious. “It’s just disgusting,” said eye witness David Vicar, who has been queueing for nearly a week to cash a cheque.
“First it’s these fat cat bankers giving themselves massive bonuses, now it’s obvious that banks are so badly staffed your average man on the street can’t even rob the place without dying in line.”
