Flip key conversion problems | |
I am trying to do a flip key conversion of my MY 2006 (North American Spec) S/C. I bought two cheap second hand North American flip keys that both seem to work (battery is operating etc.) but they don't open/close the doors/central locking. I used the "normal" pairing procedure and I get the old keys to work with the central locking without any issue, but the flip keys don't want to cooperate.
The transponder issue has been resolved already (the original soldered transponder was taken off and I took the "loose" transponder from the "old" key and put it in the housing of the new key and it works like a charm).
The blade was also easy, I took it from my old main (crappy) key (I have two good keys, old style that are fully operational) and modified the end of the blade by filing a groove in it so it fits into the hinge of the flip key. That also works very well.
The new empty housing also arrived this week so I can put all into a nice now housing.
So apart from opening and closing the doors it works fine. Does anyone have any ideas why I can not get the central locking to work. I specifically got North American keys to ensure that I would not have frequency issues !!
Please help MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
