L322 Front Door Seal :(

Wondering if anyone can help.....

Tried opening driver's door the other day with it still frosted over and the door seal around the top of the door just came straight off......

Anyway i've fixed it back in place but there's a plastic screw / bung that goes on the end of the trim, in the top right hand corner (looking at the door open from the inside). Anyone know if you can pick one up from somehwhere quit cheaply? do I need to fix the door seal back with any glue or anything? seems to have clipped back in place so not moving but just want to make sure it doesn't happen again!!

Cheers

Don't know about the plastic screw thing …. but the door sticking in the frosty mornings is just one of those design faults on the FF … you don't need to glue the seal back in just push and press but this might help ….

I think it's more of a maintenance fault than a design fault (i.e. you need to clean the door and boot seals and apply some silicone spray before the cold weather starts) ...

Silicone pipe lubricant from Wickes is very effective instead of spray.

Scarey / Mick

Thankyou for the info on the Gummi Pflege, having suffered the doors sticking to the car i have today made a small investment and ordered some. Hope it smells better than the WD40 i have been trying with!!

Thanks guys
