We broke down in my 07 Passat at midnight just outside Paris because of the well documented injector problems and Green Flag (via Nat West bank account too!) were excellent!

They recovered the car, put us up for the night, sorted a hire car for 10 days (Renault Kangoo - nice ) and organised the Passat repair all without me having to do a thing!

VW UK then refunded the French injector costs & also replaced the rest of them too!

Only scary bit was being on a French hard shoulder at midnight with 2 babies in our arms

I have used the RAC many times over the last 25 years and have always had good service and in my experience the subbies are often much more helpful than the RAC themselves. The last time I called them out it was less then half an hour after phoning that we were back on our way again, obviously only a minor problem but good all the same. People always seem to pick up on the bad stories and never the good ones. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
