Dealer is taking it in next Monday on the understanding that it's a repeat problem, however, if its not, I might end up letting them fix it just cos I dont want more problems with the 'oily bits'.

I know it could cost me more money if it turns out this way but at least then if it ever happened again I have some comeback to the main dealer. Discovery 4 HSE

Luckily its the same diff oil seal gone again (bit of a worry) but its all covered under parts warranty so nothing to pay for me. YAY!  Discovery 4 HSE

Have they given an explanation as to why the seal went again ?

They say it may have been a blocked breather causing a build up of pressure that blew the seal.

I don't really care as long as they fixed it and I didn't have to fork out cash. Discovery 4 HSE
