When I got my tyres fitted to the 22" wheels I got, the garage set them to 44, which I thought was too high, so I lowered them to 38 which seemed kinda 1/2 way between what the chart inside the door recommends for 20" wheels and what the garage set them to.

I tested this quite a bit recently and initially had mine pumped right up to 46 all round. I was on a trip to manchester airport and got 60 miles into the journey because i could feel every spec of dust on the road.

Were they new 1000 miles ago? As if you only have 4mm left then you have problems my friend... I usually get over 30,000 miles out of a new set of Toyo's
