Bluetooth Woes - Passcode Request Every Time **NOW SORTED**

My Blackberry connects fine to the bluetooth on my 2005 SC (albeit without contact transfer) as did my wifes Nokia.

I bought her a new Blackberry 9300 at the weekend and it wouldn't connect - looked about on Google and the new BB OS 6 software seems to be causing problems......so I downgraded it to OS 5 and it connected fine....so far so good....

The catch is that everytime she gets in the car, it asks for the passcode which is a PITA

I've ordered a replacement module from Wiggs in the hope that it cures it - anyone else had similar problems ??? Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

** UPDATE **

I received the new BT module today from Wiggs and swapped them over - literally a two minute job.

Complete success, both my phone and my wifes phone paired no problem, downloaded all contacts and the steering wheel buttons even work and the contacts etc are displayed on the dash control panel when you toggle between R/T with the button

Also, the sound quality is much better

Thanks Wiggs Thumbs Up

I'll get the old module posted straight back to you.

Cheers

My updated module arrived this morning courtesy of Wiggs, I doubt the postman had reached the end of the road before I had fitted it!

It now displays my contacts and most importantly, it automatically pairs with my iPhone.

My old unit would auto-pair with an old handset such as my Nokia N95, but it would ask for the passcode every time if I was using a newer handset.......now the problem's solved!

Many thanks to Wiggs for a painless process, I shall be returning the old, duff unit today.

Just for reference, I have an 06 4.2 S/C full fat.

I am having similar problem with my Blackberry Torch running latest software. It will "Pair" with car but then fail to "Connect" and keeps asking for the passcode but still won't actually connect to my 4.2 SC 2006 ???

How much is Wiggs upgrade and how exactly is it fitted?

The replacement unit is £60 exchange and the exchange unit must be of a certain vintage.

If you PM him on here he'll send a link to his excellent instructions which clearly show how to remove one bolt and two connectors.

His website explains EVERYTHING you need to know.

My Blackberry Torch Doesn't connect automatically with my SC either. It asks for the passcode every time it connects, although the BB will connect automatically to other bluetooth devices.

My HTC Sensation will still not auto pair, even after an upgrade from Wiggs. It downloads contacts fine, albeit limited to one number per contact, but will not connect without it being initiated by the phone. I don't know why, would guess it depends on exactly what Bluetooth software your phone uses but happy to be corrected.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a definitive answer on auto pairing.
