I had this problem not long after i bought my TDV8 57. Battery died and in handbook it said under no circumstances connect jump lead to battery due to this pyro device. Could i hell find positive terminal so had to call LR assist. Guy came out and said they stopped fitting pyro in 06 i think as it was dangerous! so just connect lead to positive terminal on battery as there was nowhere else to put it so you can stop looking now! Mine melted and took the surrounding plastic case with it. I took it off and connected the cables together with an insulated 6mm nut and bolt.
