How are the parking sensors actually attached to the front b

Had a small altercation last night with a Deer at about 30mph, luckily it was dead centre on the car and I'd stamped on the brakes so hard it minimised the damage (to the car anyway) and it didn't go over the bonnet and windscreen.

The end result is the grille has popped out of the bumper lugs and is leaning forward (looks a bit like a 2010MY now! Laughing ), some of the lower finisher bits also need popping back into place but the worst damage is my OS front parking sensor is now rattling around inside the bumper.

I've taken a look at it and it doesn't look broken, it appears to have a rectangular mounting plate attached, but I don't know how this attaches to the inside face of the bumper.

Can anyone advise? I'd like to fix it myself rather than the Dealer saying it needs the bumper off and 4hrs labour etc.

I looked on Rave and it either isn't the same fixing any longer or something IS broken!

Hang it for 7-10 days then cut it up, just a little early for the Christmas table unless you freeze it. Thumbs Up

Had a closer look in the daylight, seems there is a bracket on the back face of the bumper that the sensor clips into. This was snapped off.

The only solution to prevent having to pay a dealer to take the bumper apart for a few hours was to pull it forwards and use some NMN on the bracket. It's as good as new, and everything else went back fine too. Discovery 4 HSE
