2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Alveston Red

Passed my test in 98 at 17. Did most of my learning in my dads 1994 p38 (one of the very first, in fact is was in the brochure)

Then, in some sort of order

Vaux nova 1.3 sr 1989
Vaux nova 1.6gsi 1991
Vw golf gti 1988
Subaru impreza sport 1999
Citroen ax gt 1990
Citroen zx 1.9 d 1991
Ford sierra 1.6 1990
Ford Capri 2.0 1986
Vaux Astra van 1998
Vaux vectra 2.0 lx 1999
Honda civic type r 2002
Vaux vectra 2.0 Sri 2000
Mini one 2003
FFRR vogue td6 2005

Strange selection, some of these I had for years, and had several of them at the same time. some were bangers to get to work. The sierra was an actual banger for banger racing.

The mini is the only one I have at the minute, and technically that's the other halves. FFRR has just paid for a deposit on another house. Just have to save up now as I'm not really one for financing cars. Will probably buy another Cheapy until I've got a bit of cash to get Myself something nice. Apologies if i've posted this on my phone and it contains strange spelling and punctuation.. i just can't be bothered to correct it Very Happy

My mother had a Xantia for about 8 years, bought it at 8 month old, most reliable car in the world, pedestrian n/a 1.9d but bearable once wound up and on a motorway, soooo comfortable to drive though.

Oh yes..

Be ready to spend on front tyres mind!!

i think i got nearl 30mpg out of it just once but that was slow going and carrying LOTS of speed through corners!
As i live near a rural area with lots of twists, camber changes and so forth it was a great drive. The engine was a poor choice from Citroen UK as i reckon the HDi engines could be quicker and the V6! well nuf said!

If they did a more modern version it would be scarey with the 3.0 S/TDV6 under the bonnet!

I once drove a 1.6 xantia, that was a very very slow car! and they are very comfy when the spheres are in good order and the fluid is still green!

My dad got me 3 mk1 ford escorts and I had to make 1 out of them... Had many a great weekend building it. I put the rally wide wings on it and got the whole lot spray painted gloss black... It was the coolest looking car I had ever seen. Downside was the 1100cc engine! Previously..

Yeah they surprise a few people, my mates had been sat in some old boys garage for 12 years and was a proper time warp car, didn't last long until it was lowered 3 inches, welded diff and the 2.3 turbo put in lol 2006 Mercedes CLS
