*Ticking/Tapping Sound on Startup! *

Has anyone experienced ticking or taping noise (possible valve tapping) on cold start up? When I start my 07 RR TDV8 in the morning I hear a tapping/ ticking noise and then it goes away when its warmed up. Is this normal? its only done 22,000 miles. Valve lifters?
Thanks again,
5IMON

No the oils fine I think the valve lifter must access clearance as a result of previous neglect with oil change?
