Rear pillar trim removal

Hi everyone
I have got a wire (which I put there) at rear of headlining
I need to get it to rear boot area near fuses, but not sure
which way the plastic trim unclips on the pillar and don't
want to just start yanking at it incase I bust it.
The wire is my power feed for my recently installed reverse
camera, unless anyone knows if I can get power for it from
top of tailgate electrics which would be better and easier?
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Porky,

Recently had mine out to feed my free view arial up to the side window. Quite easy really.

From inside the car (rear seats) grab the top of the trim panel and gently pull it towards the front of the car. It;s not directly forward but near enough. There are four lug clips (two at the top and two at the bottom) that feed into the rear metal. Once it's free at the top, you should be able to work towards the bottom where the other two lugs are located. It should be quite easy but the more important bit is refitting. Make sure the four lugs locate back into the holes as they do move around a bit. Then just give it a hard tap backwards to re seat them. If the lugs are not over the openings you will bend one of them but they are only plastic.

I believe it's a bit easier to pull the rear door rubber seal away as the trim panel does (just) sit inside it.

Hi Ashley
Thanks for your quick reply, in your post you mention a freeview ariel on window, what type of ariel is it you have fitted as I have just fitted aftermarket head unit with digi tv built in, but I have a magnetic ariel on roof, but I'd prefer side glass ariel if you've got any advice on them would be a great help.

watch out there are top clips that go under the roof lining, pull to hard or to quick and you might damage the roof lining, start at the bottom work up and whn the clips are out pull down from the roof lining. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Sure - I got one of these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-DVB-T-Freevi...434wt_1378

I actually got 2 because the first one didn't turn up so I ordered another one (then the first one turned up..!)

So I have a spare if you want it. Gives an excellent picture and we are not in a good digital area yet.

Yours for £20 delivered (what I paid for it basically.) Ash
