No, he means you carry some risk. If the dealer goes pop, he takes your cash with him. You're effectively loaning him money and getting an interest rate for it (the saving). |

So the payments are for basic servicing, any 'extras' I presume are charged separately? |

I've mailed them to ask that very question! Since the service schedule calls for differing types of service, I want to know if the payments cover each service type as per the service schedule and not just a "basic" plus any supplements. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Correct. If the dealer goes bust, you will be an unsecured creditor. Unlikely but it can happen. The fact that they are structuring it this way worries me to be honest. Could be a simple offer to help clients afford servicing by spreading the cost but, being suspicious, it just makes me think they need working capital... |
