Gliptoned the leather again

Decided that 20 mins over lunchtime would be good to re-instill the lovely smell of Gliptone, plus do the leather some good at the same time.

So easy to apply, just rub in with a flannel and the car smells gorgeous inside.

If you haven't done this or used other products like AG and Megs before, ditch them, they are nothing compared to Gliptone.

Trust me on this Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

On my car the leather was clearly neglected for quite some time. No cracks yet but still not in great condition, at least the front seats, especially driver seat. So I decided to get Gliptone as well and you are right it is great. Now I have my driver (I know lazy lump I am) do the Gliptone conditioner once a month, partly because of the lovely smell but mainly because of the leather and the heat here. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I think at times we would all have a driver if we could afford it here in the UK, it's clearly a different situation out in Nigeria.

Enjoy it!

However, you DO drive it yourself as well surely? The SC is a lovely car to drive. Discovery 4 HSE

I read that conditioner on our kind of leather does not absorb into the leather and cleaning the leather with a damp cloth or leather cleaner and finishing protectant is better. Although I do agree the smell is fantastic. Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

My driver is actually my wife' driver and he does a lot of driving with her and our daughter as well as shopping.

You are right the S/C is just too lovely to drive around in the backseat. As i drive around quite a lot I decided that it was much easier to get a car myself and this S/C was available at a very reasonable price (low mileage only 48,000). So I decided that if I had to be driving around myself than it better be a car I have wanted for years (but could not afford in the Netherlands).

My drivers washes it every morning (is normal over here) and does the gliptoning and polishing on a regular basis. Maintenance I do either myself or have a pretty good Nigerian mechanic that has worked for the company for a long time. Parts come from a Dutch dealership.

Oops, sorry seem to be highjacking your thread. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Cleaner or conditioner? And, if both, which order do you use them in? Graham

Gliptoned for years but still good, even have a 5litre tub that has slowly deplated over that time in the garage.

Best thing to do is give it a clean every few months and use a scrubbing brush to really work it in(helps rid the sufrace of the glaze as well) and then once dried out after a day without use or two, then gliptone and then leave to dry for just as long. I try to avoid doing the drivers seat in one big go but do the small panels on it, where as the rest of the interior can be fine as it doesn't get used that much with the kids and wife in Smile

I use this stuff:
http://lttsolutions.co.uk/index.php/auto/auto-ultra-150-kit.html and have for a couple of years on previous cars too.

Cleans really well leaves the leather with a matt finish, i.e. not slippery, and doesn't leave a sticky feeling like Autoglym for instance.

You can also buy 'leather essence' if you really want the smell!

works well.

You use the cleaner first and then the conditioner. Discovery 4 HSE

Yes, it can't do anything but attract dirt on any surface-treated leather.
