R.Soles

Took the Missus to Sainsburys to get a few things parked as you do in the bays , came out approx 45 mins later some R.Sole must have parked in the bay next to me and opened his door without paying attention and left me with a 6 inch scrape along the door.

Needless to say he was nowhere to be seen.

Because if he was , he would be eating through a straw for a couple of weeks.............. Mad Mad Mad Mad

Some folk just have no respect for other people's stuff ............ Censored

Rant Over..........

Sorry to hear about the damage Mick, - hope it's easily sorted...

The Fuhrer and I went shopping the other week, and I tend to use parent & toddler spaces where possible (just due to the size of the beast) - although she gets embarrassed by it. One of the trolley train drivers/car park fascists thought he was being a big help guiding me in whilst reversing (he had no idea about sensors/reversing cam). He was a little surprised also when we got out of the car with no kids and the ensuing conversation went somewhere along the following lines:

"Cheers for that mate."

"Oh, that's fine - although you do know you shouldn't be parked here don't you?"

"Absolutely: but due to the size of the car, and the fact I don't want to suffer paint damage from other less careful drivers in your small parking spaces - there's really no other alternative other than taking up 2 spaces elsewhere..."

"Oh, um, yeah, I thought as much. It's no problem really."

"Cheers again!"

The missus was still looking ambarrassed though as we walked off...

If someone kicked your car and dented it, it would be criminal damage! So why do people not think before opening their doors.

I always put my hand round the edge of the door when in a tight space so it's between my door and the next car, you never put too much pressure on the door that way.

There does seem to be a particular section of society that I see opening doors into other cars all the time. They have also mastered the dumb look and forget how to speak English when challenged.

The last time this happened to me, I was actually sat in the car. I had some strong words with the dozy woman who'd put the dent in the door (twice), she replied with "it's only a Landrover!" and started to walk off. Red mist formed and I called her back and I ensured that her car became a little thinner, to help her next time she parked. After all, it was only a Ford! Twisted Evil

this has really annoyed me too, I usually park out of the way and take up two spaces if need be.

Trolly / door dents are a pain, if the paintwork hasn't been damaged, is less than a saucer in size and no creases then it should come out via painless dick removal (sorry paintless dint removal Shocked ). My experience with Dentmaster or similar has been very good so far. But I did get a quote for the wife's last car - virtually every panel had a small bruise = £300

Censored I hate plebs!

The Wife always tries to park (her car) as near to the doors of the stupidmarket as possible. I tell her that's the place most likely to get car damaged as people are rushing and careless and mainly just plain fecking dumb. Whistle And they are the most used.

I park out the way away from everyone else, but have you ever noticed that if you park on your own, away from other cars, no matter how far away from other cars you are, some stupid Fkin RSole parks next to you! I feel like going up to them and asking..."WHY, when you have the entire carpark to choose from do you park right next to mine?"

I've also been sat in the car and someone dings the door, I wound the window down and as you say, all of a sudden they don;t speak english.

If I had been in a Defender I would have waited till they walked away, then put a nice bumper shaped crease down the side. I have first hand experience that a standard Series or Defender front bumper can open a normal car up like a tin can. Marvelous! Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

We're quite fortunate in that we have access to a staff car park when we go shopping. It's normally only half full when we go as well! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Adam, absolutely, I once opened up a Volkswagen Polo all the way down its off side - both wings and drivers door - just like a 4" wide can opener had been at work, I think it taught the driver a reasonable lesson not too overtake where he can't see and not to mess with a land Rover. Only damage I had was red paint on the galvanised bumper - removed with a wire brush Laughing

Yes, I had to remove metallic Nissan paint...took out both doors, rear wing, bumper, blew the rear tyre and smashed rear lights!

I've had a Volvo XC90 at the time, barely 2wks old, whilst I was strapping my baby daughter into the child seat, suddenly I heard a loud bang and a shook from my car, walked over to the other side of my car, there was this pile of Censored escort(probably worth no more than a couple of hundred quid) with its rear door in contact with my car, its woman owner and her husband were busy putting stuff into the back seat.
I told her she had just dented my car, not only did she and her husband not apologise, they threw abuse at me. then they walked back into the store as though nothing had happened.
I was seething with anger, only the thought of my baby girl in car stopped me from kicking off!!
I was thinking of scratching their car from bumper to bumper, but thought the car was a heap, they probably won't noticed anyway.
The end result I would not go into..but I left with a very satisfying smile on my face Wink

I saw a Volvo XC90 in a car park in Farnham once which had been done deeply with what looked like a key - along every panel, door and pillar!

Really felt for the poor b Censored stard... Would love to have caught the little w Censored nkers in the act though. Some things just aren't safe anymore. Evil or Very Mad
