United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Rimini Red

I visited them whilst looking for the TDV8.

Must admit some of the cars, and there were plenty of them, were not particularly pretty.

I looked at the Revere, and it absolutely reeked of cigarettes and had badly repaired cigarette burns on the centre console.

I was told by the salesman, not to worry it will be given a thorough clean. To which I said, as a non smoker mate you'll never get rid of that smell.

In the meantime they were eyeing up my P38 and were trying to sell it on!

So, a hasty retreat was made and I didn't g back!

Forgot to mention, they never even returned phone calls or emails prior to me visiting them (which was over 100 miles each way) 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment
99 Model 2.5 DSE Rioja Red / lightstone
97 BMW M3 Evo Convertible
plus a few more!

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

I keep having a look at upgrading my 4.4V8 to either a 4.2SC or going the fullfat route and getting a 5.0SC.
Everytime I look at the classifieds it seems Saxtons have the majority of whats on offer Sad Range Rover Autobiography 5.0SC

England 2003 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

I emailed them about four weeks ago to see if they'd consider one of my two cars in p/ex against one of theirs. Having now had more exposure to 2007 model prices, I feel Saxton are at the top end so I wonder if they actually did me a favour by making no reply. 2003 4.4 HSE Epsom Green / Sand. Lovely!

1) My brother in law bought a RRS from them. Paid top money. Made an excuse as to why service history wasn't present, but PROMISED Whistle it was available

Paid for car, service history never came. Once £ had cleared , they gave him the fob off and stopped responding to calls

I know...schoolboy error Shocked to add insult to injury, car is a lemon, had so much go wrong

2) Best mate paid £25k for. Mercedes SL55 AMG. A few weeks after buying , he was going on a 2000 mile road trip, Autobahns, Monaco etc. He decided to replace rear tyres before he set out. An independent specialist said car was basically a death trap. Incl some major fault with fancy air suspension . £4k to put right!!
It was literally a couple of weeks after buying so tried to take car back, weren't having it, so tried to get repair bill paid, refused. Weeks of phone calls, letters, escalating to MD, he threatened to Sue (they basically said 'go for it')

Rude, nasty people with sub standard cars Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Just goes to show, little truth in the saying 'You get what you pay for!'.

A lot of the time when you pay proper money for a car you're just giving a dealer a fat margin!

We need more proper dealers like Gary! Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Kenya 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

had the same issue when I was looking for mine - Saxton never returned calls or emails or enquiries. Although I have found myself on some sort of automatic mailing list every time a new Vogue comes in Exclamation

the one I did visit, cars seems to need a lot of TLC and even if the sales guy says they will repair it, doesn't give a great impression for such an expensive car.

that being said, bozmandb9 is right, but at times some don't have much of a choice, especially if you're not a car expert and need to rely on the dealer at some point to get things sorted. Any major problems should come up quickly and you've just got to know how to get the dealer round to your side of thinking. PITA but it can be done

E4 Guy - shame about your BIL and mate, however I would seriously continue looking for a solution from the dealer. With that sort of short timeframe of problems coming up and the amount involved, it's definitly worth fighting it. Sale of Goods Act is worth quoting and lots of decent advice on moneysavingexpert, Trading Standards, etc. MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"

My BIL was literally having screaming matches with them.
Cowboys had heard it all before no doubt. Just brushed him off.
Was a couple of years ago now ...

Mate is a "City Boy" , and could probably have afforded the legal route, in the end he got a small contribution , did his road trip , then sold the Censored thing . Life's too short and didn't need the stress.

This is why these forums are great. Save a few people from the aggro, and the karma will hopefully come back and bite these unscrupulous dealers on the Censored Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

England 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Went to Saxtons when my sister-in-law was looking for an ML or X5.

It was teeming down with rain and they basically ignored us completely for about 15 minutes, she had money to do a deal that day if we'd found the right car.

When we finally got someone to talk to us and asked to see a few cars, reluctantly someone appeared (about a further 10 minutes later) with a brolly for himself and left us getting soaked. He bleeped open the cars we'd asked about, sighed when we asked about which BM seats had lumber support, and then Censored off back inside to finsh his cup of tea in the warm and dry.

Suffice to say that having sat in a few (very badly prepped) cars, we just walked off the forecourt vowing never to return.

Bunch of cowboy Censored s! Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
