can anyone who has a new 2011 4.4 tdv8 vogue
check their front seat heating
does it get unpleasantly hot on both settings ????
my older l322 2008 never used to get this hot and am wondering wether this is common

They do heat up quickly. Is your leather perforated? I find my 'dials' offer a fair amount of adjustment though...the different settings are noticeably different. Are there 2 stages on the Vogue? Mine has 3 so maybe I have a low setting and you have Med, High?

I have a 2011 VSE and the heated seats have 3 options for heat and 3 options for where (seat cushion, seat back and both), does not get too hot on level 3.

its as if theres a thermostat that sticks

I have an SE with the perforated leather.

Takes a while to warm from start up, but once engine is warmed up, very quick to heat.

I found the 3 settings pretty good. Not sure why they won't let you only have the bum heat on though - it's either back & bum or just back.

If it's on full for more than 10 / 15 mins, I do have to turn down a notch before I get betty swollocks

I think it works a treat........as well as the lovely cold air.....brrrrrrrrrr

Our seats don't heat that quickly. And sometimes randomly switch themselves off and back on (when no where near switch off temp). We have had it back to the dealer who can't find any problems.

On the times it does work it does get toasty but not Mad(r)ass hot.

First thing in the morning they are very slow to heat. Not sure if related to battery juice availability....

Software update a couple of months ago didn't solve it either.

Do the Vogues have electric heated seats then rather than "hot air" ?
My SE heats by blowing warm air through the perforations.

What about if you have the cooled option with perforated on the vogue, does that then have the same as the SE ?

I'm pretty sure my Autobiography uses a heating element for the heating part front and rear and cooling fans for the cooling part front and rear? I cannot hear the air coming up like I can when the cooling is on maximum?

I'm sure mine heats by air because you can hear the fan turn on & off to keep the temperature constant. There's a very slight wooshing as it goes on & off......Definately feels warm holding hand above, although the airflow is so slight you can hardly feel it to touch apart from the warmth.

Definitely air on mine too! Checked on the way home.
